Our projects are strategically designed to uplift the youth, providing them with the tools and support they need to succeed. Currently operating in Buyende, Luwero, Kumi, and Paliisa districts, LIRI is committed to redefining lives, fostering resilience, and creating sustainable pathways for the youth to build brighter futures. At LIRI, we employ an integrated approach centered on capacity building, service provision, capital and resource support, peer/group support, referrals, collaborations, and advocacy.

LIRI's Integrated Approach
for Sustainable Impact

Youth Livelihood Project

The project is aimed at enhancing economic self-sufficiency and social protection among youth in Pallisa and Kumi districts. This is done by improving financial literacy, business and vocational skills for youth through vocational skills training, financial management, and business skills training as well as promote inclusion, peacebuilding and conflict resolution among the project participants. The project participants are trained in agribusiness and various vocational skills to generate income. Youth are organized in saving groups, provided with financial literacy classes and business skills training so that they can run profitable small enterprise self-sufficiency and social protection among youth in Pallisa and Kumi districts. Youth Health Promotion

This is an advocacy initiative to increase access to Adolescent and youth friendly SRHR services on HIV/STI prevention and treatment, prevention teenage and unwanted pregnancies, and access to HPV immunisation by the adolescents and young women in Buyende district. The main strategy to empower youth and community structures by building a coalition to demand for quality SRH services through awareness raising for communities in SRH rights and advocacy, policy implementation, and responsiveness by the health service delivery system.
These are health champions to support health advocacy work at grassroots, collect evidence to amplify cases that require attention, sensitize the vulnerable groups in their SRH rights and document case studies of rights violation for redress.

Educate a girl child

At Life Redefined International (LIRI), we believe in the transformative power of education, especially for young girls. Our ‘Educate a Girl Child’ project is a dedicated initiative aimed at breaking barriers and providing opportunities for girls to access quality education.

In regions such as Buyende, Luwero, Kumi, and Paliisa districts, where educational disparities persist, this project strives to redefine the trajectory of young lives. Through targeted interventions, including financial support, mentorship, and community engagement, we pave the way for these girls to pursue their dreams.

Skilling youths to foster income generation in Kumi district

Life Redefined International (LIRI) is dedicated to fostering positive change in Kumi District through our impactful project, ‘Skilling Youths for Income Generation.’ Our mission is to equip young individuals in the region with valuable skills that not only enhance their employability but also empower them to generate sustainable income.

Through targeted training, mentorship, and support, we aim to unlock the potential of the youth in Kumi, enabling them to become self-reliant contributors to their community’s economic development. Mental Climate Action

Addressing mental health in the context of climate change is an important area of our focus. Through this program we emphasize:
Psychological Resilience: Climate change leads to increased stress, anxiety, and trauma due to extreme weather events, displacement, and loss. This Mental health programs focuses on building resilience and coping strategies to address these challenges.
Environmental Advocacy: We engage in climate action and environmental advocacy has a positive impact on mental well-being because it provides a sense of purpose and empowerment.
Community Support: We Implement programs that foster social support and community resilience can help individuals cope with the mental health impacts of climate change.

Education and Awareness: We raise awareness about the psychological impacts of climate change and provide education on coping mechanisms that are vital in mental health and climate programs.

Policy and Planning: We incorporate mental health considerations into climate change adaptation and disaster response policies to better support the psychological well-being of affected populations.
