Our story is rooted in the desire to see a Youth Rehabilitated, Healthy and Empowered. Youth especially girls, young women, youth with disabilities are often disadvantaged and marginalized which hinders them from enjoying social and economic opportunities. Moreover, crises such as the recent COVID-19 crisis and conflicts detrimentally affect the accessibility to resources and services, which are already scarce or underdeveloped. Youth especially adolescent girls and young women continue to be affected by limited access to mental and sexual health services, education and economic opportunities. Economic and health frustrations also lead many young males into drug abuse and petty crime. LIRI therefore reaches youth through capacity building, collaboration and research in socio economic participation, mental health care and support and Sexual reproduction health rights.
